There’s a quaint little town in a quaint little county that do quaint little experiments on their quaint little townsfolk. Like the man said, it’s a free world baby..
So you miss me?? It seems that I’ve been more than a little popular with some particular governments lately so I figured it was time for a little break ... before my neck did ..
So back to that quaint little town, Porton in Wiltshire. Actually Porton Down to be precise. You know that nice little military base that experimented mustard gas on air servicemen in the fifties. In fact a disgusting total of 20,000 people have been experimented on from the early forties right through to the eighties.
Whats more scary is that not only did they test nerve agents and stuff on air servicemen but it seems that LSD was involved too.. naughty..
You may have been following the story in the news just recently as the good old Wiltshire coppers (an investigation named Operation Antler) have found that yes, in fact the scientists DID break the law when they found evidence of illegal testing as the air servicemen were lured for test for common colds (???)
After a meeting with someone connected with the military side of Porton Down I heard some pretty disturbing stuff. The person involved was a high ranking military officer (we’ll call him Mr X) in the army base at Porton down and worked there during the 1960s. He could not tell his family what his job was and they were specifically told not to ask or discuss the matter.
Both Mr X and his family were also told that under no circumstances must the wash his clothes in biological washing powder .. they must use NON BIOLOGICAL POWDER. Also if Mr X ever had an accident that they were not to call 999 but to call the base direct as they had medics for that type of thing and that the base must deal with all things medical to do with Mr X.
So, I did a bit of ferreting and found out some stuff. I found an urgent briefing note from Dr Pat Troop, Deputy Chief Medical Officer. There’s a briefing note on toxic agents to GP’s outlining risks of nerve agents and mustard gas and a FAQ section like;
Q "Will my balls drop off if the MOD sprinkled pesticide on them?"
A "Pesticide makes you virile."
Well in the very last section there’s a piece about LSD that reads;
3. LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide)
LSD is a drug of abuse which causes a disorder of consciousness. The effect which involves alterations of perception, hallucinations and changes in behaviour, is commonly called a "trip". LSD is known to have strong anti-5HT effects though it seems that no simple pharmacological explanation is adequate to explain all the effects reported. Use was common in the 1960's when LSD and drugs producing similar effects were known as "psychedelics". Chronic use is known to be associated with a significant risk of mental disturbance including memory loss, "flashbacks", paranoid behaviour and psychotic episodes. Such effects seem very unlikely following a single exposure.
Questions and Answers
Q.1 Has my brain been damaged by exposure to LSD?
A.1 Mental disturbances have been frequently described in addicts taking LSD regularly. That any lasting effects would follow a single exposure, or a few repeated exposures, is very unlikely.
Q.2 Am I likely to suffer delayed effects? I've heard about "flashbacks" and they scare me.
A.2 This is very unlikely after a single exposure, or following a few repeated exposures. Such effects occur in addicts.
I’m sorry but the above CLEARLY indicates that the government tested LSD on servicemen and if anyone read my last piece on mind control and MK-ULTRA ... there’s the British equivalent.
A supposedly ILLEGAL drug has been tested on servicemen, no doubt told that it was something else, and another story unfolds... was Porton Down also a base for mind control experiments? The answer is all too clear and despicable, my friends.
In 1953 a serviceman named Ronald Maddison died aged 20 as a result of exposure to Sarin a type of nerve gas. DERA (Defence Evaluation and Research Agency) tricked the servicemen into taking part in the experiments for "Common cold research".
The Sarin was dripped through Maddisons clothes to see how long it would take to kill a man in uniform. Incidentally you may recognise Sarin as the same nerve gas used in the Tokyo subways by the Aum Shinrikyo Supreme Truth sect that killed 12 and left over 4,000 seriously ill. Nice stuff..
Bruce George who is the chairman of the Commons Defence Committee doesn’t know what the hell is going on up in Porton Down, Defence Minister John Speller doesn’t seem to know what the hell is happening so who does?
In 1968 a typical cover up and conspiracy ensued. The MP for Linlithgow Tam Dalyell was involved in an investigation for Committee on Science and Technologies and subsequently called for an inquiry into the practices at Porton Down.
Dalyell shared concerns over reports of Sarin testing and "various other tests" that went on at Porton Down. Not long after his visit he called for the inquiry but was "had up on a technicality and hauled before the Privileges Committee of the House of Commons". He was apparently accused of a leak to the press even though the papers were for public viewing.
It now seems that the soiled paper trail of evidence leads all the way back to Whitehall and demonstrates quite clearly that top ministers knew of the experiments including Lord Healy who said "The great problem with this is that I was only given information that civil servants wanted to tell me."
As Operation Antler continues, so does mine as I have more claims myself that I have to look into. So, this is not the end but only the beginning and if I’m lucky I’m sticking around for a while. I got a whole lot more where this came from ...
