The Senator’s Case
"The truth is rarely pure and never simple…"
Oscar Wilde
Well, here I am again people. If you’re reading this then it means that those people at SIRIUS have let this article go to print. This is only appearing in one publication as too much air-time would not be good for my health if you know what I mean. Yep, I’m back with an article that involves three Senator’s, the FBI, The Department of Justice, the Attorney General, the State Police and cattle mutilations.
Be warned, the following article is TRUE and may cause a sharp intake of breath…
In 1974 Senator Carl Curtis of the Nebraska communities wrote to Clarence Kelley, the Director of the FBI in Washington calling for an investigation in to the strange mutilations and deaths of cattle and livestock in his constituency. The response was that ‘no Federal law had been violated’ and the FBI had no jurisdiction to intervene.
12th September 1975, Senator F. Haskell US Senator of Colorado telephones and expresses his concerns of cattle mutilations in Western States to an R.J Gallagher (position unknown) of the FBI. In this conversation, Senator Haskell describes of the ‘loss of left ear, left eye, sex organs and blood drained from carcasses, but no blood on the ground…’
Haskell requested that the FBI investigate and said that it was too big for the local authorities to deal with. Gallagher then referred him to the Department of Justice to gain a resolution to the jurisdiction law.
On this same day, Senator Haskell contacted Gallagher again. Haskell had received a call from Dane Edwards, editor of a paper in Brush, Colorado. Edwards had said that U.S Army helicopters were seen in the area where the mutilated cattle were found and added that he had been threatened. He did not say in what manner or from whom.
In a previous letter that Haskell wrote to Special Agent in Charge (SAC) T. Rosack of Denver, Colorado. In this letter Haskell explains that for several months his office had been receiving reports of mutilated cattle. He tells of 130 cases had been reported in Colorado ‘in the last two years in nine states.’
In virtually all the cases, the left eye, left ear; rectum and sexual organs had been cut away and the blood drained. In Colorado’s Morgan County, there were reports that ‘ a helicopter was used by those who mutilated the cattle, and several persons have been reported being chased by a similar helicopter.’ Haskell then requested that these mutilations be taken seriously, as ranchers were now arming themselves to protect their livestock and families. Haskell adds; ‘ clearly something must be done before someone gets hurt.’
Haskell was putting on the pressure and all the FBI were doing was repeating ‘jurisdiction’ like a safety mechanism.
December 21st 1978, another Senator steps in and calls for action. Senator Harrison Schmitt goes straight to the top and writes to none other than the Attorney General, Department of Justice, Griffin B. Bell.
Schmitt goes on to account numerous cattle mutilations that had taken place throughout the West and in New Mexico. He refers to an article in a local paper, which reported that the FBI had dropped the investigation because cattle mutilation was not a federal offence. Schmitt then asks the Department of Justice to re-examine the FBI’s jurisdiction. Schmitt also submits reports from the New Mexico State Police regarding the mutilations.
The Attorney General was obviously alarmed by Schmitts letter and replies: ‘ I must admit that the materials sent me indicate the existence of one of the strangest phenomenon’s in my memory..’
Bell asks for someone to look into the Schmitt claim of CM’s (cattle mutilations) in the Western States, and adds that ‘Senator Schmitt is our friend…’ Looks like Schmitt pushed the right buttons somewhere along the line…
The Attorney General then authorises an investigation for the Criminal Division of the DOJ to determine whether there is a need for Federal intervention.
Schmitt then releases reports of local investigations of CM’s made and prepared by Officer Gabe Valdez of the New Mexico State Police to the Criminal Division.
There are 29 reports submitted from 1975 – 1978 (in these, the investigator is referred to as writer). In all but one of these reports, the sexual organs were taken. One report tells of two puncture holes on the cow’s neck and back in front of it’s hip bones, which looked like the were made from the air whilst the cow was standing up.
Officer Valdez also submits his summary of some investigations made (at this point his investigations were continuing).
"The left ear, the tongue, the udder had been removed with what appeared to be a sharp, precise instrument.." Wrote Valdez about one of the cows found on M. Gomez’s farm in Dulce, New Mexico.
"Investigations continued around the cow and revealed that a suspected aircraft of some type had landed twice, leaving three pod marks positioned in a triangular shape (scorch marks were also found)…also a yellow, oily substance was located in two places under the small tripods. This was submitted to the State Police Lab. The lab was unable to detect the content of the substance."
Alarm bells ringing yet? Don’t worry, they will…they’re going to ring out like a foghorn in a tunnel…
Samples of this oily substance was submitted to a private lab (not clear which one, who they were working for) and they were not able to analyse the substance as it ‘disappeared or disintegrated’. Oh, really? Why do we think that happened?
Three days later, a radiation test was conducted at the scene of the mutilation on Gomez’s farm. This was done by a Howard Burgess of Alberquerque. He found that, around the tripod marks, ‘the radiation level was twice the normal background reading’.
Valdez’s summary included this: ‘It is the opinion of this writer that radiation findings are deliberately being left at the scene to confuse investigations’.
Writer conducted an intensive investigation into approximately 23 cattle mutilations that were reported in the state of New Mexico within the last 16 months. According to writer, they all carried the same pattern.
He also found that one of the mutilated cows that he investigated had a ‘high dosage of Atropine Insecticide… a tranquillizing drug’…and that several animals had been ‘highly infected with Black Leg’.
Another writer who assisted in investigations in Logan County submitted samples of substances found on the cows ‘to three private chemists, as it appears that the Government associated laboratories are not reporting complete findings.’ This substance was then analysed as containing ion exchange resin and Vitamin B12. Writer was also unable to get co-operation from the Colorado State University. At that time, writer contacted several states where the mutilations were over the 1000 mark.
During the investigations, certain theories were ruled out such as; ‘Satan Worshipers’ and predators. These were ruled out due to ‘ expertise and preciseness and the cost involved to conduct such a sophisticated and secretive operation’. In short, they were crapola..
Valdez summarised his investigation down to three possibilities; 1) Experimental use of Vitamin B12. 2) The testing of the Lymph Node System. 3) Germ Warfare Testing.
In a report from a write it says; ‘One has to admit that whoever is responsible for the mutilations is well organised with boundless technology, financing and secrecy.’ Hhmm, sound familiar? Like, I don’t know maybe…the US Government perhaps?
In an airtel from SAC Forrest S. Putman, Alberquerque field office to FBIHQ, there is a statement that reads; ‘Officer Gabe Valdez is adamant in his opinion, that these mutilations are the work of the US Government and that it is some clandestine operation either by the CIA or the Department of Energy, and in all probability is connected with some type of research into biological warfare.’ Valdez felt that he ‘ was given the run around by Los Alamos Scientific Laboratory and they are attempting to cover up the situation.’
SAC goes on to say; ‘ If it appears that we are going to become involved in this matter, it is obvious that there would be a large amount of correspondence necessary and Alberquerque would suggest a code name to be established of BOVMUT.’
It seems to me that Valdez stuck his neck out on his investigations, especially seeing as all this was given to the FBI…wonder how long he survived?
One interesting fact is that all the mutilations happened to NATIVE cattle.
I have other reports, medical reports and witness reports all basically saying the same as the above. So, boys and girls…what do we think so far? I know what I think, but I’ll save it till the end…
So, Airtels, memos and letters are going back and forth between FBIHQ, Senators office, DOJ and field offices in the Western States. FBI can’t really intervene…no jurisdiction…Valdez’s theories on cow’s being clamped, taken away by helicopters, mutilated, then returned to their pasture…
By 1979, there were an estimated 8000 cattle mutilations reported.
Senator Schmitt was still leaning on the DOJ to lean on the FBI for a federal investigation into this, if anything to deter the ‘mutilators’. There was even a conference chaired by Schmitt, where the media were invited.
There was then talk of inputting all the information and reports of cattle mutilations into a computer bank to establish a pattern. Well, I thought that the pattern was pretty obvious…hello…
In the conference, the FBI pointed out that FBI intervention might be possible as some mutilations because of violations of State Laws on Indian lands (some mutilations occurred on Native American land).
Chief Raleigh Tafoya, Jicarilla Apache Tribe said that some of his people who had lost livestock to cattle mutilations had been threatened, but again, he could not elaborate on these threats.
So, the FBI sets off to investigate the mutilations on Indian Land only to find that no new mutilations had occurred…what a big, fat surprise! Was the threat of heat from the FBI was too much?
‘ In view of this, no investigation is currently being conducted regarding mutilations, and the Alberquerque office is placing this matter in a closed status.’
In addition to this, it so happens that due to the Indian tribe’s tradition/religion/beliefs, the carcasses of mutilated cattle were not preserved and autopsies were not permitted…again, how convenient.
Kenneth M. Rommel from the District Attorneys Office was called in to further investigate. He also just so happened to be ex-FBI. He advised that there was no need for federal assistance in view of the lack of new reports from Indian territories.
However, in July, 1978, a UFO was reportedly observed by a resident of Taos, New Mexico, hovering over a pick up truck. The next morning, powder flakes were recovered from the roof of the pick up truck. The substance was then said to have been identical to the substances found on cowhides from controlled tests in Dulce, New Mexico. This was described as being fluorescent.
Kenneth M. Rommel then states in a letter to the FBI lab; ‘ However, I would appreciate it if through the use of a G.S Mas spectroscopy (for identifying constituents and processes in any source that emits light. In some industries many similar samples must be analyzed quickly and simultaneously for their light-absorbing characteristics…or so I’m told..) or any other logical test that these flakes can be identified. This in itself would go a long way to discredit the UFO/cow mutilation association theory. If need be, the flakes can be destroyed during your examination.’
This is as obvious as it gets, folks. A blatant request for a cover up. And why? Why the hell indeed.
Why was there so much red tape for an investigation to go ahead when there were over 8000 reports of mutilated cattle at an estimated cost of $1,000,000. Why were there so many reports of unmarked helicopters and government involvement? Have the US government shared this information with the British government?
So, case closed. Or is it… What do you think? If you have any input about this report, then let me know - thewhiterabbit@talk21.com. Anonymity guaranteed.
One person involved in the above investigations summed it up. ‘ The only thing that makes sense about the mutilations is that they make no sense at all.’
